NewYorkCityServers operates out of Telehouse's 85 10th Avenue datacenter. The facility opened in 2011 and has quickly become one of New York City's leading carrier neutral datacenters. The 60,000 square foot facility has over 25 network carriers on site, as well as direct access to NYIIX (New York International Internet Exchange) which boasts over 150 connectivity members. The facility also features diverse external and internal fiber routes.
The facility's infastructure is completely redundant in an N+1 configuration. This means that if one piece of infrastructure hardware fails the datacenter will still continue to run without downtime for your server. In addition, the datacenter also features two 2.5 MVA diesel generators in an N+1 configuration. There is enough diesel fuel onsite to keep the facility running for 80 hours at full load. This allows for plenty of time to secure additional fuel shipments should it be needed. A third generator will also be installed in the near future.
The datacenter is monitored by a 24x7 onsite security team to insure access is granted to authorized personnel only. In addition a CCTV surveillance system is installed throughout the internal and external perimetes.
